The current William Lamson show at Marty Walker Gallery is a treat: quick, funny, and deeply odd. Sometimes disturbing, too. Imagine a soda can tied to helium balloons. Somebody shoots the can from off camera and it bleeds out. It loses weight and the balloons levitate it as the last of the fluid inside drips on the floor. A dumb kid's science experiment about mass and buoyancy becomes a poem about death.
Some samples of his video "actions" are here.
